Our filling materials, with and without indian rubber

Spelt husks can spread the pressure of the body’s weight very equally and offer a great measure of air circulation thus working against heat accumulation and sweating. After an intensive Quality selection we bathe the Spelt hulls in liquid Indian rubber in order to make this material keep its wonderful qualities during use. The rubber milk is being absorbed by the hulls and once being dry and solid the rubber gives the husks a stabilizing structure due its typical flexible resistance.
The spelt husks are now protected from rubbing off and become more endurable without loosing their permeability. The treatment with rubber gives the filling more cohesion and improves its sustaining qualities.
The fact that Spelt husks with natural rubber are free of dust reduces the allergic risk for many sensible users. Only a high sensibility against latex products gives reasons for not using the pillows.

Millet hulls are adjustable and cuddly like soft sand and are low-noise being moved. In order to make this material keep its wonderful qualities during use we bathe the millet husks in liquid vegetal latex, which is being absorbed by the husks. Once being dry the latex gives the husks a stabilizing structure due to the typical flexible resistance of latex.

The very smooth and round millet husks adopt the individual contours of your head, neck and shoulders. The millet pillow gives comfortable support. You can relax wonderfully while feeling perfectly sustained.

Eelgrass (Zostera marina) is a natural product from wild harvesting at the beaches of the Baltic sea.

For centuries it has been used to fill pillows and mattresses as well as material to cover houses.

To meet our today standards of living and housing and most of all of sleeping, we use high quality eelgrass, which has been collected and selected by hand. And we soak it with liquid vegetal latex, dry and heat it. This process stabilizes the curly structure and elasticity of the dry eelgrass. Thus, the products filled with our eelgrass keep their shape well and give soft and yet stable support. And one more advantage – the pillows and mattresses are relatively light because the necessary volume of filling material can be reduced. Eelgrass coated with Indian rubber is highly permeable to air and offers a perfect regulation of temperature which leads to high sleeping comfort.
